Edited in Marvel Legends: Guardians of the Multiverse (2023). Now that the first season is out, I can safely say that this series exceeded my expectations. It uses witty writing and detailed animation to give fans the service they crave and then some. Each episode is very varied, so there are a lot of different scenarios and you never know how it will end or which characters will show up. The show doesn’t waste time explaining the Marvel Cinematic Universe and just gets straight to the heart of the storyline, and also starts throwing plot threads together without warning. This is for fans, not casual viewers! However, the variety of episodes also means that the quality and tone also vary drastically. The short length means that a lot of events and battles are cut short. A lot of care was taken to keep everything canonical and consistent, but there are still some flaws and each character’s power/ability seemed to be made up based on the needs of the plot.
