Helen embarks on a passionate romance with a man who has no idea what her secret identity is. Helen’s employer, caught in the crosshairs when her lover falls victim to London’s dangerous underworld, calls Sam in to protect her. Bing, the owner of the guitar shop where Sam buys guns, is played by Rat Scabies, a member of the band The Damned. He appeared in 葛雷漢諾頓秀: Cher/Keira Knightley/Michael Fassbender/Josh Brolin/Jalen Ngonda (2024). Fairytale of New York Written by Jem Finer, Shane MacGowan stars as The Pogues and Kirsty MacColl. Various other characters are introduced into the kaleidoscopic narrative as Knightley and Whishaw are drawn deeper and deeper into the increasingly inscrutable plot as a mountain-sized body count piles up around them, occasionally by their own hands, while Whishaw still has time to rekindle an old romance. Sharply directed with credible performances from A-list actors, it somehow failed to deliver on its original promise for me, floundering on an overwrought plot that relied too much on chance, gunplay violence, and quirky characters and misfits. . When it all finally comes together, I felt like it fell somewhere between James Bond-style fantasy and Le Carré-style realism, with the escape sadly winning out in the end. I was wrong, it killed him. The same goes for Ben Whishaw, who also looks like he weighs 100 pounds. Both were completely believable in their roles. I binged it and devoured all 6 episodes over the weekend. I’ve been hooked since I started watching it. I’m glad they’re planning on doing a second season because one isn’t enough. I want to see more of these characters and the world they’ve built here. «One Hundred Years of Solitude» is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres this month.
