Sonic, Knuckles, and Tails reunite against a powerful new adversary, Shadow, a mysterious villain with powers never seen before. See the actors behind some of your favorite movies and animated series, including Keanu Reeves in Sonic the Hedgehog 3. The makers of the previous films have mentioned playing both Sonikku Adobench 2 (2001) and the solo game Shadow the Hedgehog (2005) as inspiration. The film is also inspired by narrative elements from the Saturday morning animated television series Sonic the Hedgehog (1993). In the Knuckles TV series, Sonic said, «Robotnik is gone, and there is no new battle to fight.» But in this film, he told Tails and Knuckles that they have to ask Dr.

Shadow’s story began much like yours, Sonic. But where you found family and friends, Shadow only found pain and loss. SPOILER: There’s a scene in the end credits: Sonic arrives at New York State Park and is confronted by an army of Metal Sonic robots, but is saved by Amy Rose.

A fun soundtrack fills the movie, especially the end credits song, which continues to maintain the spirit and energy that this rendition of Sonic brings. Along with the solid sound editing, the design and animation are better than ever, with updated visuals, improved shading, and better textures making them look a little less alien in the human universe. Along with a fast pace, Sonic 3 feels like the elements of the video game have been woven well into a movie while keeping the elements of both decently blended together. What the movie also excels at is the story elements to a certain extent, along with the characters they attempt to bring to life.

Sonic 3 is a story I hold dear from my Sonic Adventure 2 days, and the adaptation is pretty decent given the high bar the game set. The primary elements are there and build on the story established by the previous installments, the two stories blending well in the grand scheme of things. Some of the other plots are adorable, while Eggman’s is pure comedy that works well to break up the drama and had me laughing a few times. Many of these stories move together and do well to be engaging enough for older non-fans, relevant and impressive for many fans, and not slow to compensate for younger members. Reeves and Schwartz’s acting helps bring much of this depth to life while also making the comedic moments fun and exciting.
Don’t worry; violence is downplayed and appropriate for all but the youngest viewers, and quite suitable for the PG rating
When the action does come along, it feels like one part video game and one part anime, blending the elements well and showing the promise that Sonic and his team can make if given the chance. I particularly liked the first chase scene and the penultimate main action sequence of the film, which felt like the best combination of speed and style. As for the comedy, it also has plenty of style to enjoy, with most of the members bringing that trademark comedy to each character.
